Pastor Nelson Salgado

Pastor Nelson Salgado has been a cherished member of Redeeming Love Christian Embassy, ever since he moved to Mid-Michigan from New York City in 1997.  He quickly became an integral part of the praise and worship team, contributing his talents as a drummer and singer. For about 20 years, Pastor Nelson also participated in the church's Passion Play, portraying Jesus for 13 of those years.  In May 1999, he married his lovely wife, Sara. Together, they have two daughters, Emily and Mya, who bring immense joy and support to their lives.

Born with a cleft lip and cleft palate, speaking was supposed to be a disability in his life, but God had other plans. Pastor Nelson has been deeply committed to personal development. He has invested in his growth through reading, electronic media, and attending numerous seminars. His professional journey includes working with respected companies such as UPS, Walt Disney World, and AT&T. A pivotal moment in his career was attending the AT&T School of Business, where he discovered his passion for teaching, coaching, and developing others. In September 2015, he became a certified John Maxwell Leadership Coach, Teacher, Trainer, and Speaker, dedicating his life to personal and professional growth.

Pastor Nelson has been leading the Praise and Worship Team since 2016. His leadership skills were further recognized when he was invited to join the Executive Team and the church board in 2023. He also took on the role of church treasurer that same year. In September 2024, he was licensed as a minister, shortly after earning his bachelor's degree from Christian Leadership University.

These life experiences have transformed what could have been a disability into a remarkable strength. Pastor Nelson now uses his voice to offer leadership training, workshops, seminars, keynote speaking, and coaching to individuals, organizations, and companies in the Saginaw/Mid-Michigan area and beyond. He is dedicated to assisting others on their journey to personal growth and leadership success, drawing from his own experiences and unwavering commitment to continuous improvement.

Despite holding various leadership roles, he values his roles as a husband, father, and friend above all.
